Lovely suite right on the beach

Review by A FlipKey verified reviewer
This is a lovely suite about 20 ft from the ocean. The place was clean and had all of the needed amenities. We could see whales from our veranda. Loved sitting on it and enjoying the ocean. We would definitely stay here again. We hopighly recommend it. And it was recommended to us by a friend.

Charming Island experience.

Review by Ian and Terry
We had wonderful service from Chase'N Rainbows and the office at Valley Isle. We loved the views from #609. Whales and turtles played in the water. The layout of this condo is very functional and is equipped with all the necessities. There is no air conditioning and we didn't need it. The ceiling fans are sufficient. We liked that the building is beach front. The bbq's and pool area is very clean. Everyone was very friendly both on and off the resort property. We walked the beach as well as the street that runs behind all of the resorts. There is some construction to be done to some buildings on the property due to a fire but everything is tidy and well maintained otherwise. We will stay at Valley Isle again and when we do, it will be for a longer period of time. Loved it here!

Very nice place to relax

Review by J
Very nice condo to relax with great views. I liked the property very much and was staying there with a group of friends who also had condos in the same buiding. It was easy to compare other units and what they offered. Was disapointed in no internet, or beach amenities like the other units. I just went to their units to borrow beach items and use internet. In the future I would book those first if available. But overall a nice place.

Great Getaway

Review by Alice
My husband and I spent three weeks in November 2013 in Unit 609 of the Valley Isle Resort. This is a clean, well-kept one-bedroom unit, with a lanai overlooking the beach and ocean. There was a shower in the unit, not a tub. The lanai took direct sun for a few minutes in the late afternoon, so we could relax there any time without roasting. We had no problems with the unit. There is a cross-draft between the bedroom window at the back and the lanai at the front. There are all the usual appliances in the unit, but there are also many restaurants within a short drive of the resort. There are barbecues in the pool area. This is not a place for people who want to be entertained with luaus and get-togethers on a continual basis. There is no restaurant or bar attached. It is an excellent place to unwind, play in the sand and in the waves, and swim in the pool. Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 am, ensuring that guests are not kept up with disturbing parties. We will certainly be going back again, and we will be telling our friends about the Valley Isle.

Review by Greg and Lisa Fletcher
We couldn't have asked for more. The condo was perfect in every way and we can hardly wait to get back next year! The view was unbelievable, the bed was comfortable, the location was perfect, great water flow in the shower, lots of extra towels, free parking, we were right on the beach and the grounds were beautiful. Thank you for a great experience!

Million dollar view

Review by AK2Mom
Walk in and look straight out at the ocean and Molokai. The lanai is generous, the condo is nicely appointed and very clean. It has everything we needed and all we could ask. The location is convenient and far enough out of traffic to be quiet so we could enjoy the sound of the ocean at night. Lovely to wake up to warm breezes, sip coffee on the lanai and watch the whales. Perfect for a couple but apparently can sleep four.

Fabulous ocean-front view from balcony!

Review by L&M
Condo had great layout and features for my husband and me. Nice sized living room and bedroom. Kitchen and bathroom were small, but still had everything we needed. Nice large balcony. Great breeze through condo when open sliding glass doors and bedroom window. Had great view of ocean and whales! Condo looked exactly like the pictures on the web site.

Excellent view, great location and turtles for neighbors

Review by Papparaz
This condo (in Kahana) has a great view of Molokai, Lanai, the ocean and beach from the lanai. The best part is we saw turtles every day and couldn't go 5 minutes without seeing some kind of whale activity. Swimming, snorkelling, paddleboarding, surfing and other water sports are right off the beach. Boss Frogs is just across the street out back if you need to rent gear. The condo has a few beach chairs and a boogie board. The pool is behind and a very good exercise club is located on premises. The club charges $12 per workout. We made good use of the well-maintained Bbq's which were probably the fanciest we've ever used. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and places to pick up groceries not too far away. It is a convenient location to explore the West and North parts of Maui. Driving to Hana and Haleakela were no problem from here either. A few minor problems with the condo occurred during our stay but we didn't want to bother dealing with these on our vacation and they didn't prevent us from enjoying our stay. The rental company seemed responsive when we reported the problems. ChasNrainbows does a good job of taking you from initial inquiry through check-out including activity advice and a good rate with Thrifty Car Rentals. Renting their beach towels is highly recommended. We feel a safe and free wi-fi internet should be provided at this rate.

Great view & location

Review by 40th anniversary
3.5 star condo unit in a 5 star location. Great remodel of bath and kitchen. Carpeting definitely needs cleaned/updated. Furnishings getting long in the tooth but adequate. Old CRT TV in living area could use an update for those who like to catch the news or major sporting events after a day in the sun.

Valley Isle Resort room 609

Review by majpreal
We just enjoyed a week in room 609 at the Valley Isle resort(VIR). The room was a very good value. It was a nice size 1Bd with a well-stocked kitchen. The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed and TV. The living room included two nice recliners facing an armoire with a TV, DVD and VCR. The room in was very clean with nice carpet and looks to have been recently remodeled The best feature of the room is the proximity to the ocean. The unobstructed view of the ocean (and Molokai) is fantastic and it is high enough to where you are above the palm trees. In terms of drawbacks, there were just a few: 1. no a/C in the unit. This wasn't a huge deal because there is a ceiling fan in the bedroom and in the living room and all doors and windows have screens; 2. No hairdryer in the room - much to my wife's dismay; 3. The bedroom window faces the outdoor breezeway so it can be a little noisy at night if others are having too much fun on their lanais. Items 1&2 were stated on our check-in instructions but I'm still noting them for other's benefit. Regarding the overall resort...Parking is free and ample. There is a small pool and a nice BBQ area with 3 or 4 grills that are well maintained. The beach is right out front and there are some lounge chairs for you to use. You can swim in the ocean right in front of the hotel. If you stay at VIR the number 1 thing you should research is room location. The first number denotes the floor and the last number denotes the location of the room on the building; every floor is basically the same. The L-shaped building faces the ocean at an angle with units ending in 1-3 (e.g 601, 602) having views, but not direct ocean front. Anyone walking along the breezeway to other rooms can see right in. Rooms ending in 4-10 are oceanfront and have direct sight lines to the ocean and don't have the same fishbowl affect as those ending in 1-3. We were in room 609 so we were very close to the ocean. All said, VIR room 609 is a very good value.

Great views

Review by Q
We love The Valley Isle because of its location & beachfront access. This room was great & well equiped for all needs exceopt a dvd player. we felt like for the $$$ we spent to not be able to relax and watch a movie on dvd (not vhs) was not only irritating but unheard of in 2011. Also the pullout sofa is not comfortable, broken springs. But other than that everything else was perfect. We would stay there again if it was updated with a dvd player and a bigger tv.

Fantastic Ocean Front Condo 20 yards from the beach

Review by Kim
We had a great stay at Valley Isel. The condo was directly facing the ocean. a 360 degree view. Only 20 yards to the beach. The beach was very nice right in front of the complex and we saw at least 100 whales and 6 turtles during our 5 night stay. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was large. The kitchen had all you needed as far as utensil, pots & pans and dishes. The only drawback was that it only had a shower. No bathtub.

Valley Isle Resort (room #609)

Review by ocean2010
We stayed at Valley Isle Resort (room #609). The room was clean and remodeled nicely with updated appliances. The only deceiving thing is the hotel name “Resort.” This is not a resort and they have very basic service included. This place could be more classified as an ocean view condo complex and not more. Beach looked nice and sandy, but it once in the water, it is full of extremely sharp rocks (volcanic formation). After all, we would still recommend this place to our friends.
