It had everything I needed, quiet and spacious fully furnished 1-bedroom condo with a beautiful ocean view. Just steps from the pool and then on to a great little private beach. All the staff where friendly and helpful. I will stay there again in the future.

Best family friendly complex in West Maui
Review by Ruth
Sullivan Properties were great to deal with and answered all my questions in a timely and professional manner. My daughter was happy to find out that the complex had free WiFi!!!.
Kahana Sunset is a wonderful complex, the gardens are wonderful, the guests and staff are super friendly , the pool is nice but the private sandy beach is the icing on the cake. Our condo D2D was in a perfect location on the ground floor with a nice patio. We over looked the garden and could also see the ocean and the breaching whale show. It was very private as not a lot of people walked by .My Mum who is 86 yrs old was pleased that there was no stairs.
Inside was clean and the well kept. A good size living room ( where my teenage daughter slept on the pull out couch ) ,the bedroom was a good size with a nice view ,good size storage room( complete with a boogie board ,folding beach chairs and water floaties )and a very comfy bed.
The kitchen was small but well equipped .We had a rule only 2 in the kitchen at once. But when you are in Maui who wants to spend a lot of time in a kitchen!!
Overall the suite was functional and comfortable. it has not been renovated but we found it wonderful.
Kahana Sunset is really close to some of the best beaches in Maui .Kapalua and Napli beaches are beautiful beaches to snorkel and play in the waves and they are just minutes away to drive. There is a food store and small strip mall in walkind distance .If you are a runner there is a wonderful trail that you can get to that takes you along the coast,
I would hight recommend Kahana Sunset and if you are a family of 3 ..D2D is a great affordable choice.
My Mum left her cane behind ( huge sentimental importance) in the complex and Sullivan Properties were quick to locate it and are kindly sending it back to her. Now that is great customer service !!

Sunsets and More
Review by Napili Lover
In my experience you can get a great sunset anywhere in West Maui. The reason to come here is that the nicely maintained garden area leads directly to a nice if small beach. They are having some problems with the seawall right now that put a small section of the beach off limits, but it didn't have much impact. Having a swimmable beach 50 yards from your door is hard to beat. Room was well maintained as was the pool. There is a nice outdoor common area with a book sharing shelf. It all felt very friendly. A 10 minute walk to the coffee shop in Napili Plaza is a plus. Don't rent a big SUV if you come here. There is plenty of parking but the spaces and driveways are very tight.

We had a very nice stay in Maui. Just prior to our departure we got a call from management saying that there had been a flood in the unit we originally rented, and that we were being upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit. This was a nice surprise as this included an upstairs with a better view of the beach from our unit.
There were a few things that we were dissapointed in though. First, our room did not have an oven which was shocking, and caused us to do a few things differently with our food. This was especially annoying because we had stopped and shopped between the airport and arriving. Secondly the ceiling fan in the master bedroom did not work. When we called down to maintenance they suggested a fix rather than coming to the unit to see what the issue was.

My 2nd time to Kahana Sunset - I absolutely love the setting and the layout of the property. D2D isn't the most updated of the units, but it served my husband and my needs just fine. We will definitely return to Kahana Sunset.
