Absolutely loved the resort, location and beach. The unit had no view of the beach, but the price made it acceptable. However, there were some things that caused disappointment. The ceiling fan in the bedroom would not turn off and the light would not turn on. The kitchen was well stocked but everytime we tried to cook the fire alarm went off. Not all the stove burners worked and the pans under the burners need replacing. They were burned black from grease. Unfortunately the unit could use an upgrade. Next time we would stay pay a little more and ask for a better unit. With a little maintenance this unit would be fine.

Ready for renovation

We stayed here during the very busy week of Christmas to New Years Eve 2014. We were happy to find a place, but were hoping for something better. This is a solid "3" with both positives and negatives.
The property is right on a very tiny beach and the grounds are under re-construction. As a result the landscaping is bare and subject to erosion which makes the paths muddy. Here and there the partially-constructed paths have pieces of carpet and rubber mats to help you over the wettest and muddiest parts. The property has a new and nice small swimming pool. There are no other resort amenities so I am not sure it is accurate to call it a resort. The rental office was never open at any time that we were present on the property, so we never actually saw a real agent or clerk. No one was around at any convenient time to help us arrange activities.
No check-in instructions were ever sent to us so we had to call the "emergency" number once we arrived to get the key code.
The unit is in the second building back from the beach, facing seaward. You can easily hear the waves but cannot see them from the unit.
The unit itself is badly in need of a thorough cleaning. It has dust and grime everywhere (even the ceiling fans are coated) and the kitchen was dirty enough that we did not feel comfortable using it. We paid a cleaning fee in addition to the rental fee, which I guess allowed for someone to vacuum the floor and change the sheets. The cleanliness of the room was not up to even Motel 6 standards, however. The bathroom is very tiny. The wifi worked for the first few days then stopped. Verizon cell phone service is poor in this location. There is one flight of steps between the parking and the unit. The interior of the unit looks like it is old and has received amateurish repairs and many coats of paint at many times in its past, much like an old beach house if you like that sort of thing. Really, though, it needs a good renovation.
On the positive side, we loved the brand new patio area adjoining the seawall. The waves splash right up to the rail and sea turtles swim among the rocks right below. This is by far the best aspect of the property. The property is a 15-minute walk (no sidewalks) to the nearest coffee shop and about the same to the beach at Napili Bay, which is where we wished we could be.
The unit claims to sleep 6, which is technically true if you open both the murphy bed and sofa bed, leaving only narrow paths around the beds to walk. The bedroom bed and murphy bed are very comfortable. Hot water ran out after two 10-minute showers. Overall this is a perfectly good place to sleep if you don't plan to spend any other time there besides sleeping.
