Vacation Rental Reviews by

Great vacation!

Review by funinthsun
We took a last minute trip to Maui for spring break. We needed a budget-friendly 1 bedroom. This trip included my husband, our 14 year old daughter, and I. We enjoy sightseeing so we didn't spend many daylight hours here. It had all the things we were looking for. We had all the comforts of home along with a great view of the ocean across the street. The reviews said this place is loud and it is loud, but if your looking for a budget friendly place this is it.

Start Walking

Review by Will
Great spot to go on long walks. You can almost walk to Lahaina after you get on the boardwalk at Kaanapali. Drive north and walk the coastal trail at Kapalua. Place is very old and is a concrete brick structure. It was furnished with everything needed. Two beach chairs and two beach towels were included. Adjacent to busy road with 20 miles per hour speed limits. Noise did not bother us. I would go back.

comfortable and clean

Review by KDM travelers
Reading previous reviews I was aware of older decore and road noise. Both true. The condo was clean and comfortable for us and the bed was very comfortable. If it would have been hotter I wouldn't have been able to sleep without airconditioning or windows open. The road noise quieted in evening but there was a school bus stop out front and the kids were noisy. overall it was perfect for what we needed. If you are looking for fancy this is not but comfortable it is.

Honokowai - good location

Review by Georgia
We stayed for a week & enjoyed the location. The unit was only just OK. While searching for a place to stay I found many updated & much fancier/nicer units for a similar price, but we started looking late & ended up settling for this unit. We paid too much. This unit has seen better days. There is a pool but not heated & the old charcoal bbq & area isn't handy or well maintained. It was pretty noisy with street traffic, garbage trucks & workers cleaning up the park across the street in the early hours. The park is nice but not a swim beach at all. There is a good little farmers market Mon, Wed & Fri. & a few good little shops close by. This unit was just OK, not in any way lux or good $ value.

Great place to stay

Review by Kathy
Nice unit - older but clean. Lots of cooking utensils and everything needed for the stay including fans and coffee. Overlooking the ocean across the street and next door to an organic food market that was priced equally to the other stores with a great salad and hot food bar. There was also a little authentic Mexican taco restaurant next door and a coffee house and a place to rent water gear. Parking was a bit tight. Pool looked nice but we never swam in it. Great deal for the price!
