Vacation Rental Reviews by

We love Kahana Sunset

Review by Donna Aronson
We have been to Kahana Sunset about 6 or 7 times now. We love B2 as the update is splendid, and the kitchen has everything, and there is a downstairs powder room, and a retractable shade over the deck. In January and February we can see Humpback whales from the beach, the lanai or condo deck. Our morning starts with Hawaiian coffee at the overview to count green sea turtles. We like the warm solar heated pool. We like blowing the conch at sunset. We like the gardens. We wish the sea wall was not responding to nature and sliding down. But that is just the way of geology/waves/soil slump. We love snorkling at Kapalua, nearby. The traffic is pretty intense. Because of paving and an auto accident, it took us over 2 hours to get to the airport. I would not stand in line for 40 minutes for macademia nut pancakes at The Gazebo at Nipili Outrigger again. But I would blow the money and eat at Roys once. Call early for reservations. Read "The Wave" by Susan Casey which was at the condo. Would highly recommend it. Especially as we saw "Jaws" while we were there in January. Thank you Mahalo Love the spirit of aloha Donna aronson Los altos, Calif.
